I'm the co-founder and operations manager / art director of Hip Hop Hacktivist, an organization that hosts free social
coding events that use the appeal and influence of the hip-hop culture to introduce the tech industry and its
opportunities to minority and underrepresented young people. In short, we make tech cool!
- Design visual identity for the organization including website, logo, swag, t-shirts and promotional material.
- Organize sponsorships, volunteers, students, and media coverage for a social coding event that introduced 50 plus teenagers and young adults to software engineering and user experience design.
- Manage 50 tech professionals and develop ongoing partnerships with companies such as Tumblr, Vice, Uber, New York Times, Linkedin and Thoughtworks.
